Make sure you review our Community Agreements linked above the class descriptions. These classes are billable through the NM Department of Health Customized Community Supports services. Contact your Program Coordinator with questions or for more information.

Please register for each class you would like to attend for the upcoming month. All classes are provided at no cost, with the understanding that you will provide all of the supplies and materials needed to fully participate. You will be provided with a secure Zoom link prior to each class, so please monitor the email account you use to register. Please log in 15 minutes before the start of each session so we can work out any technical difficulties. Please share your feedback on what activities you liked or would like to see so let us know!

Monday, February 1, 2021 - 11:00am - 12:00pm: Monday Morning Stretches: Rise up in the morning and do some stretching! Start the week right with Dominic! Wear comfortable clothing and bring your positive attitudes!
Monday, February 1, 2021 - 1:00pm - 2:30pm: Watercolors 101: Join April Cox for a class focused on watercolor painting techniques and explore botanical watercolor designs. Supplies: watercolor or mixed media paper, watercolor paints, three paintbrushes (small, medium, large), 2 water cups (for painting), masking tape (this is suggested for securing the piece to the table and preventing the paper from warping when wet).
Tuesday, February 2, 2021 - 10:30am - 12:00pm: Urban Bike Tour: Join us as we take a virtual bicycle ride following the Urban Art Bike Tour map from the City of Albuquerque. You will follow along with your printed map as we visit the art hidden in the heart of Albuquerque (map link will be sent prior to class alongside your Zoom info).
Tuesday, February 2, 2021 - 1:00pm - 2:30pm: Zumba & Smoothies: Experience a 30-minute Zumba workout and make a delicious and nutritious smoothie afterwards. Supplies: comfortable workout clothes and tennis shoes, as well as a blender and measuring cups. Ingredients: banana, fresh orange juice, plain Greek yogurt, strawberries, blackberries, and a sprig of mint (optional).
Wednesday, February 3, 2021 10:30am - 12:00pm: Karaoke: Join us and sign to your favorite songs with your friends and staff in virtual karaoke class!
Wednesday, February 3, 2021 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Pig Yoga with Barbie and Sydney! Get up and dance with Tequila Barbie and Sydney for Pig Yoga! Join this energetic class for fun and exercise. Do some stretches and dance the stress away. Make sure to wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.
Thursday, February 4, 2021 - 10:30am - 12:00pm: Bob Ross Painting Hour: Enjoy a peaceful class with Bob Ross and paint a beautiful background using various painting techniques. Thursday, February 4, 2021 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Barn Scavenger Hunt: Enjoy a virtual scavenger hunt: explore the barn and learn more about horses. We'll finish up with an art project. Supplies: paper plates, construction paper, markers, and scissors.

Monday, February 8, 2021 1:00pm - 2:30pm: AgrAbility Workshop: Join April Cox, the AgrAbility Specialist, in a discussion of gardening plans and the coming 2021 growing season at Mandy's Farm. Learn about what's happening in the garden now, what is coming later in the season, and ways you can prepare for your own growing season.
Tuesday, February 9, 2021 10:30am - 12:00pm: Cooking Class - Chicken Noodle Soup: Enjoy creating a warm and savory chicken noodle soup. We will be working in the kitchen with knives and heat- please request support from other members of your household if needed. Supplies and equipment: a knife, cutting board, medium saucepan, cooking pot, measuring cups, measuring spoons, stove top, mixing spoon, tongs, one onion (yellow, white, or sweet), celery, carrots, several cloves of garlic, chicken breast, chicken or vegetable stock, thyme, salt and pepper, and one bag of noodles (fafalle or bowtie preferred).

Supplies: comfortable workout clothes and tennis shoes, as well as a blender and measuring cups. Ingredients: blueberries, bananas, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and almond milk.

Thursday, February 11, 2021 1:00pm - 2:30pm: Arts & Crafts: Create a love bug picture craft with us. Supplies: Bring a photo of yourself, colored construction paper (red, white, and black), a glue stick, and scissors.

Thursday, February 18, 2021 12:30pm - 2:00pm: Virtual Tour of the Rio Grande Zoo: Explore the Rio Grande Zoo with us. Decide what exhibits you want to see and where you want to go. We'll even take a break to feed the ducks!
Thursday, February 18, 2021 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Equestrian Club: Learn about vaulting and other equestrian skills.
Monday, February 22, 2021 1:00pm - 2:30pm: AgrAbility Workshop: Join April Cox, the AgrAbility Specialist, as we learn about seed planting basics, tips and tricks for starting your garden, and how to cultivate our own seedlings for the 2021 growing season. Supplies: Seedling trays (as may as you want), egg cartons, or Tupperware with missing lids, seed starter soil (lighter than potting or garden soil), seeds (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs), gloves (especially if you don't like getting your hands dirty), a chopstick or other tool for making holes, a window with sunlight where seeds can safely grow.

Wednesday, February 24, 2021 10:30am - 12:00pm: AgrAbility Workshop: Join April Cox, the AgrAbility Specialist, as we learn some simple ways to make growing our own food a little easier. Discuss solutions for growing food outdoors without spending a fortune. We will also learn how to mix our own soil and discuss why good soil is important for a successful harvest. Supplies: one bucket, 1/2 block of rehydrated coco coir (add water till it is nice and fluffy like soil), native soil (amount equal to coco coir), compost (amount equal to coco coir), aeration (such as pumic stone, rice hulls, lava rock, or perlite in an amount equal to coco coir), and one large cardboard box (larger than one square foot).

Thursday, February 25, 2021 10:30am - 12:00pm: American Sign Language Class: Join us for an Introductory American Sign Language (ASL) class. We will learn some of the basics of conversation, fingerspelling, and other helpful phrases. This class is a good fit for all levels of experience.
