Building Belonging
More details about table sales are coming soon! Montezuma Ball began 100 years ago, starting in 1902 as part of the New Mexico Territorial Fair. The tradition continued until the last historic Ball was held at the Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque in 1968. In 2000, Heritage Hotels and Resorts restored this New Mexico tradition to inaugurate its new Alvarado Ballroom at Hotel Albuquerque. Since then, Montezuma Ball has raised millions of dollars for nonprofits across New Mexico. The event includes cocktails, a gourmet dinner, an entertaining and inspiring program, and after-party dancing.
The theme "Building Belonging" beautifully reflects Mandy’s Farm’s mission, and the named levels—Building Dreams, Building Independence, Building Homes, Building Jobs, and Building Connections—create a powerful narrative of the different facets of support and growth for the individuals served. Each level highlights a core aspect of empowerment and inclusion, all working together to build a true sense of belonging.
"Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of their abilities, has the chance to thrive. That's the vision that Mandy's Farm in Albuquerque is bringing to life every day. For our neighbors with developmental disabilities, this farm isn't just a place—it's a lifeline of hope and opportunity. These individuals, who are often overlooked by society, deserve the same chances we all take for granted - to learn, grow, and contribute to our community. By supporting Mandy's Farm, you're saying, "I see you, I value you, and I believe in you," to someone who may have heard the opposite too many times. Your donation isn't just funding programs; it's nurturing dreams, building confidence, and creating a more inclusive Albuquerque. It's about recognizing that disability doesn't define a person's worth or potential. When we invest in services for disabled individuals, we're not just doing the right thing—we're enriching our entire community with diverse perspectives and untapped talents. Let's stand together and show that everyone belongs in our city and that everyone matters" - Mandy's Farm supporter
